Featured Book: Ghosts We Unmask
A Watson Twins Mini Mystery (Book 4)
by Chelsea Michelle
If you’re in the mood for a short, faith-filled cozy mystery with humor, sisterly banter, and a dash of small-town suspense, this one is a perfect October read.
Here’s the heartbeat of the story:
Michelle Watson has always been a magnet for trouble, and this time she’s befriended a newcomer who unknowingly purchased one of Maple Springs’s most notorious farms. A recent murder on the property only fuels the town’s ghost stories. Chelsea, ever the logical twin, steps in to help — even as strange events begin to test her confidence.
When rumors grow louder, the twins and their friends do what no one else will: spend the night at the allegedly haunted Bennett Farms. But as coincidences pile up, they begin to wonder whether someone is using the ghost story to hide something far darker. Or whether Hazel, the farm’s long-whispered-about spirit, still has unfinished business.
It’s cozy, mysterious, and faith-rooted — and it’s a great entry point into the Watson Twins world.
If you’re new to the series, here’s the reading order the author recommends. Many of these books are available to read for free with Kindle Unlimited.
A Gift for You: Embers of Grace
If you’re new here (or if you’ve been around a while and just haven’t grabbed it yet), I want to gift you my devotional collection.

Embers of Grace: 100‑Word Devotionals on Forgiveness and Second Chances also includes a sneak peek at Fireman’s Lesson in Love, since the focus of that novel is forgiveness and second chances.

What I’m Reading
I’ve also been reading The House of the Seven Gables by Nathaniel Hawthorne — a wonderfully atmospheric fall pick. It’s a slowly unfolding Gothic tale about an old New England home steeped in generational guilt, whispered curses, and the hope of renewal. Hawthorne weaves together mystery, melancholy, and grace in a way that feels perfectly suited to cozy October evenings. If you love stories where the past presses into the present, this one’s a classic worth savoring.
A Thought for Your Week
God has been reminding me lately that clarity often comes after obedience, not before. Sometimes He asks us to take the next step without handing us the whole map. And maybe that’s mercy. Because if we saw the whole path, we might talk ourselves out of walking it.
If you’ve been waiting for perfect clarity, maybe today’s the day to take one small, faithful step.
In grace and truth,
Mishael
